Progress is KEY!!
With another event under our belt, we are feeling very motivated and inspired! The Power Program is in full effect!

At our Glow Zone event last week on June 8th we uncovered HUGE SUCCESS!! We were able to sit down with the Power Participants and find out what they care about. The primary focus of this event was goal setting.

The young men were broken up in to groups and given the opportunity to identify Three Goals. 

  • One Goal to accomplish by the end of the calendar year.
  • One Goal to accomplish by the end of a 12 month cycle. 
  • One Goal for the group as a whole that they can hold each other accountable for. 
Each group consists of 7 to 10 young men.  We will be keeping weekly communication with all of the young men as far as progress on their goals and what steps they have been taking to succeed. 
OUR NEXT EVENT! Power Event 3 (Maintaining Focus and Motivation) Wednesday July 12, 2017
Who?
Green The World & AAC Inc. (A local non-profit organization that has 20+ years of experience working with the inner city youth)
When?
Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
Where?
For this event we will be taking the young men to either Wet N Wild Water Park, or Pole Position indoor Race Track. We will take a vote and do the one the guys decided on.
Why?
Power Event 3 will be held to reinforce the goals we identified in Power Event 2. Most young men set goals. The obstacle is many times they fall short when it comes to consistency and diligence. So we are making sure that they keep their Goals in the forefront of their minds as well as focus on the set BENCH MARKS to make sure they are on pace. Our mission is to maintain focus, as well as motivation!
How?
The prerequisite for the young men to attend this event is for them to complete a dream board. At Power Event 2 the young men were all given a poster board. Their assignment was to create a “Dream Board”. This assignment was given to the young men to help them visualize what they want in life. We believe that the clearer the picture is in your mind, the more focused you will remain. We’ll use their dream boards to help us set weekly bench marks. Individual and overall group checkpoints will be clear.
What we need?
For us to seamlessly run the event we will need to raise sponsorship for 50 young men. This will cover all of the following for all participants:
  • Admission and Participation fees
  • Food and Beverages (Catering & Dietary Education segment by Vegan Chef Stacey Dougan & Simply Pure)
  • Transportation
  • A Green The World Shirt
  • All of the Materials and Supplies For the Workshop
  • Any other Miscellaneous fees that come with the event.
This breaks down to $40 Per Participant. The Total cost is $2000.
One of our Biggest Successes So Far!
We had SEVEN participants that were in Peterson Behavioral School for the last school year. All SEVEN of them were released and are now being sent back to the public school system. This brings such a motivational energy to the The Power Program’s Volunteers and refuels the company all together.
To watch these young men, who truly want better for themselves, work hard week in and week out to achieve success in their own personal lives is an extremely rewarding feeling.
Since our last event, we’ve had many young men inquire about joining the program We are doing something progressive and it feels GREAT!!!

Our July Fundraising
We will be Hosting a Phantom Firework Stand from June 28 Wednesday June 28 to Tuesday July 4. Our stand will be located on the South East corner of Sahara and Durango in the Rebel Gas Station parking lot. 
 
We have GREAT CUSTOM PACKAGES that are perfect for any 4th of July celebration available at the following levels:

Platinum – $1000
